HRA Business Investment Expo & Conference, Caribbean edition set for June 5-7, 2014, Washington D.C.

Washington, D.C. - To respond to the request of many and connect potential investors directly with the Caribbean, HRA's 5th Annual Business Investment Expo & Conference will expand to include other Caribbean nations under the theme: The Caribbean: Beyond Sun, Sand & Sea - Strengthening Trade among Caribbean Nations.

The 2014 Caribbean edition of the HRA Expo will focus largely on fostering inter-commerce in the Caribbean region, exploring investment opportunities in the Caribbean and the participation of the Caribbean Diaspora in their countries' economic development.

"The Caribbean Diaspora is a critical element in the economic development of the region. HRA is thrilled to expand its platform to include other Caribbean nations to attract and connect investors across these Diasporas, explore business opportunities that stimulate direct investment, job creation, increase competitiveness and economic growth in the region," said Firmin Backer, President of HRA.

The HRA Expo is an innovative platform designed to engage Diaspora and International Investors, allow dynamic, inclusive and transparent exchange of business practices, formation of partnerships and identity project funding streams. The three day program provides ample networking opportunities across various activities: business expo, conference and workshops, receptions, and entrepreneur's happy hour. HRA's signature session "Investor's Tank" provides unique access for entrepreneurs to pitch their business plans to investors/venture capitalists to fund their business or projects.

Since its inception 4 years ago, the HRA Expo has attracted over 2500 participants from 8 countries and 22 states. About 150 companies have showcased their products and services in the expo pavilion and 18 entrepreneurs have pitched their ideas in Investor's Tank. The forum is regarded as the premier gathering of private sector executives, investors, entrepreneurs, senior government officials, and non-profit organizations.

This event is open to the media and the public. For more information or to register, please go to www.hraexpo.org.
