The Ministry of Tourism launched the first 2.30-minute major promotional video presenting Ile-a-Vache as a tourism destination. They emphasise the pristine nature of the island and the history of the island.

The video particularly speaks to adventure travelers, romance travelers, and Haitians leaving abroad.

The Government of Haiti has big plans for this small island including building an airport, the construction of several hotels-resorts (1,000 rooms), 2,500 villas, a community center, an emergency center, and the development of agricultural infrastructure. The government's vision is sustainable tourism development on the island, the use of solar electricity and protecting its environment as much as possible.
