Heineken will invest $100 million in Haiti

Heineken, a Dutch company that produces the most popular Haitian beer Prestige, confirmed that they would invest $100 million in its plants in Haiti over the next 5 years.

On April 8th, Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe visited the brewery and said its manufacturing process impressed him. He welcomed Heineken's commitment to invest in Haiti.

The Group has already invested $20 million to open a new line that will increase its production capacity by 50%.

Heineken purchased the National Brewery of Haiti, Brana, in 2011 and owns 95% of the company. It currently employs 1,200 people in Haiti.
