Worker's minimum wage for industrial plants turned exclusively towards re-export (assembly export-oriented industries) and essentially paying their staff per piece or task, is now 225 Gourdes for eight hours of work.

For Industrial companies turned exclusively towards export or paying their staff per task/unit produced, the salary set for the unit of production should allow the worker to earn at least 300 Gourdes (about US$6.69) for an 8-hour workday.

This change is based on the decision of the Superior Council for Wages that voted on November 29, 2013, on the adoption of fixed minimum wages.
