Haiti will host the next 58th meeting of the World Tourism Organization for the Americas Commission to take place in 2015. The decision was taken unanimously at the end of this year's edition that took place on June 25th in Colombia.

Some of the topics discussed at the meeting were the laws governing the tourism sector, strategies to improve interconnectivity between Europe and South America, and travel facilitation.

The Haitian Tourism Minister, Stephanie Villedrouin, present at the event stressed the country's political repositioning as a tourism destination.

Ms. Villedrouin participated as the First Vice-President of the World Tourism Organization Commission for the Americas.
