GB Group acquires over 220 Texaco stations in St. Maarten, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic

The Haitian giant GB Group has announced the acquisition of Chevron’s fuels marketing and aviation businesses in St. Maarten, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic. The transaction included a network of over 220 Texaco service stations, fuels terminals, and airport refueling operations across the three markets.

“This day marks an important milestone in our long-term development plans, and this transaction is perfectly aligned with our intentions to pursue international growth, as well as in our home market,” commented GB Group Chairman, Mr. Gilbert Bigio.

Following this transaction, GB Group became the first Haitian multinational, and one of the largest independent, petroleum marketers in the Caribbean region with more than 350 service stations, LPG distribution, storage terminals, and aviation refueling operations.

Based in Haiti since 1896, the GB Group has been operating in five main industries: Energy, Building Materials, Consumer Goods, Telecom, and Infrastructure. It includes such companies as Aciérie d'Haïti (ADH), the Huileries Haïtiennes (HUHSA), Gentel, Sodigaz, Metalec, Prometal, etc.
