The 4th Annual Haiti Business Investment Expo & Conference to take place in Washington, DC

Haiti Renewal Alliance (HRA) launches its 4th Annual Haiti Business Investment Expo and Conference, the “premier business networking event of the Haitian diaspora.”

The event is scheduled for June 6-7, 2013, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington DC. This two-day conference aims to promote investment and business in Haiti, boost job creation and economic growth. The 4th Annual event will provide greater opportunities for job seekers, entrepreneurs, investors, sponsors and exhibitors alike seeking to expand their business, to showcase and promote their products and services, and to share their expertise.

The conference plenary sessions will address the role of women and SMEs in Haiti’s
economic development, trends in Haiti business legislation, land registry and acquisition, tourism development, investment opportunities, “Investors Tank”, and many others. Additionally this year, the U.S. Small Business Administration (U.S. SBA) will present a workshop on U.S. small businesses programs such as lending, government contracting, counseling & training.

Past sponsor of the Haiti Business Investment Expo and Conference, Dr. Kit Miyamoto of Miyamoto International, CA, said: “You can do more effective business networking here than in Port-au-Prince.”

New business exhibitor Johanne Wilson of Cool Creative Inc. had this to say about her participation: “This was such an amazing experience. I really got to understand the business landscape as it relates to Haiti…and can’t wait to do business. This was so worth it.”
