What is the Haiti Place Emergency Management Program?

The Haiti Place Emergency Management Program (EMP) is a service of haitiplace.com that is financially supported by the VIP Members of Haiti Place and donors. Join the effort to make a difference.

EMP
is a network of individuals, nonprofits, businesses, government agencies, and other partners working together to plan, prepare, mitigate, and respond to disasters and crises in Haiti. In addition, the HP EMP portal provides access to crisis and disaster information on Haiti, and helps members connect to coordinate relief efforts in Haiti.

Resourceful and Interactive

EMP
is an online platform providing access to crisis and disaster information on Haiti.

EMP
is, however, more than an online resource of information, photos, videos, documents, and other important resources. It is a social network that allows individuals, organizations, governments, businesses, and other partners to work together in real time for more timely and efficient response to and delivery of relief aid and support. As a member, you can be as passively or actively involved as you wish.

When you join Regions and Arrondissements Groups, you will be able to exchange information with Emergency Response Teams, NGOs, government, businesses, members, and others who are working and coordinating efforts in disaster areas in Haiti.

Working Together to Save Lives

EMP
as a platform facilitates organizations, groups, and individuals to come together to plan, prepare, mitigate, and respond to disasters in Haiti. It is our aim to work together with communities in Haiti and in the Diaspora to create Emergency Response Teams for each Department and Communes, provide training to those teams and individuals on disaster preparedness, and create an Emergency Preparedness Fund (EPF) to help finance these initiatives.
