  • Santo Domingo - Foreign minister Andrés Navarro on Thursday called deportations nonnegotiable and said he informed Haitian authorities and the international community that the country´s rule of law guarantees that no Dominican will be expelled from their country.

    "The Dominican Government reiterates that to reestablish a productive dialogue with the Republic of Haiti for the bilateral management of development will require that that government ultimately and finally cease its allegations against the Dominican Republic, we are asking greater responsibility on the part of those officials, who are doing more damage to their own people with that kind of attitude," the official said.
