Overview

• A native of Haiti, Jean Paul came to the United States in 2004 with a suitcase and a dream. Since arriving in this country, he has taken charge of developing himself academically and professionally by remaining engaged, exploring all viable options, and remaining committed to his dream. Being faced with the challenge of living in an unfamiliar culture, empowered his sense of curiosity, emboldened his desire to excel, and strengthened his foundation of self-discipline and perseverance.
  
  Jean Paul’s approach to the challenges facing his home country of Haiti combine his training in dental care and his need to give back is beyond comprehension. His work is holistic and targeted while still scalable and far-reaching. He founded the Unspoken Smiles Foundation which involved bringing dental care, dental supplies, and dental training to children in parts of Haiti that have never before had access—by training them. He has attracted Resolution’s support (seed funding, two dedicated mentors, pro bono professional services, an expert network of thousands, access to key Fortune 500 companies’ resources in Public Health and Dental Care Supplies, and a community of peers), and has attracted additional investment not only on the strength of his leadership, but also on the strength of his track record.
  
  Jean Paul's philanthropic achievements have garnered recognition from a variety of prestigious organizations, including The United Nations Youth Assembly, The Diehl Family Social Enterprise, The Resolution Project, Echoing Green and The Clinton Global Initiative University. He has been honored with a Prestigious Professionalism award from the New York University in 2011, and he was recently recognized as the Dental Professional of The Year 2015 by the Creative Dental Connections.
